1. How is CoEfficiency Australia different to other environmental consultants?
We define ourselves as behaviour change consultants working in the environmental sustainability area.
Choosing to only work with community organisations enables us to stay informed on the issues that face your sector and customise our programs to best meet your organisational needs.
We will provide your organisation with a comprehensive list of environmental measures AND an evidence based framework to integrate sustainability into the culture of your organisation.
2. What is the relationship between CoEfficiency Australia and GreenBizCheck?
CoEfficiency Australia has an agreement with GreenBizCheck to provide their online certification at a discount to not for profit organisations in Australia.
We have packaged the GreenBizCheck certification with added features such as implementation support, workshops, communication support and an evaluation, to make it a comprehensive program for your organisation.
CoEfficiency Australia receives a financial benefit from the GreenBizCheck certification program.
3. How has GreenBizCheck developed this certification program?
GreenBizCheck has reviewed the sustainability component of over 100 architectural, quality and other standards and assessment methods for buildings world-wide.
This information has been combined and modified to reflect the relevant commercial aspects of an office environment.
4. How does Bureau Veritas audit and verify GreenBizCheck certification?
Once your organisation has implemented the measures that you have committed to in order to achieve you certification (score of 70% of more), you will need to produce documentary evidence and/or photographs for a random sample of measures identified by Bureau Veritas.
They will assess these and if satisfied, Bureau Veritas will issue your GreenBizCheck certification and logo.
This external audit and verification process strengthens the value of the GreenBizCheck certification.
5. We are a busy organisation, could you send someone out to do the entire implementation?
In order for your organisation’s sustainability program to be successful, it is important that staff have input, ownership and involvement in the process.
In the Supported Sustainability Program, CoEfficiency Australia provides a service which balances the need for staff involvement and the understanding that most not for profit organisations are busy with other priorities and do not have the capacity and resources to proactively lead the integration of this sustainability program.
We will work one on one with an identified staff member from your organisation to support the integration of our recommendations for your organisation.
6. I do not believe in man made global warming, why should I participate?
You do not need to be a believer in man made global warming to benefit from our services.
CoEfficiency Australia only provides recommendations that support not for profit organisations to reduce their costs, keep their staff happy and attract more funds. These alone should drive NFP decision makers to implement sustainability measures within their organisation. The only difference is that global warming believers will enjoy the added benefit of reducing their organisation’s carbon footprint by working with us.
7. What payment options do you offer?
We recognise that some organisations may not be able to pay the total cost of a Supported Sustainability Program upfront. Therefore, we do offer the option of a payment plan as outlined below:
For less than 50 paid full time staff:
40% at sign up
40% before integration support
20% before evaluation report
For 50 or more paid full time staff:
50% at sign up
40% before integration support
10% before evaluation report
Contact us to discuss a payment plan further.
8. Do we need to implement all the measures recommended in order to achieve certification?
No, we will meet with decision makers in your organisation to suggest a range of measures. During this process, we will support them to make as many realistic and achievable commitments from the list of measures we suggest.
The more measures that are committed to, the more likelihood of your organisation achieving certification.
Each measure is allocated a percentage weighting based on its impact on the environment.
Your organisation will qualify for GreenBizCheck Bronze certification if your measures total more than 70%, Silver if more than 80% and Gold if more than 90%.
9. I am interested in what you offer but I am not a registered not for profit, how do I access the benefits of certification?
Please contact us with details of the sector you work in and your location and we will refer you to the appropriate service provider.
